storm.

silent..
a silent storm tearing through my mind
destroying everything inside
to the soothing ring of piano strings..
in the eyes of this storm,
as i stare, i am torn,
between malevolent grace and lovely undertaking..

First of all, welcome to throwaway, Jamil! I'm glad to see you've posted already!

I appreciate the juxtaposition of the binaries in this poem: the silence and the storm, destruction and a soothing ambience, malevolence and grace. I think they all compliment one another well. Although storms can be destructive, they can also offer cleansing. Your poem leaves the state of the speaker's mind open for both interpretations: in either turmoil or rapturous passion.
