aren't always wanted.

burdens dressed up.
Shackles tied with
a frilly bow.
Accept
them wisely.

This poem reminds me of a story that I quite can't put my finger on. Obviously, the idiom originated from the story of the Trojan horse, but there's another story that this reminds me of. This almost seems like a companion poem to "Abdiel" (I don't know if that was your intention) because they both lend to things not always being as they seem.
