I stack them neatly,
encase them in bubblewrap,
toughen up their fragile outsides.
Preparing them for their journey.
If careful
one basket
will do just fine.
Presumed failure
is
failure.

Don't put all of your eggs in one basket.
I like the caution of the speaker as that would be expected since he would value the little that he has. I really like the last line. I never thought of the idiom this way, but saying it really sets up a defeatist attitude. To start something with failure in mind will probably end up in failure.
I was a little confused about toughening up the shells. Does the bubblewrap do that? Or is it something else?
Otherwise, good stuff.
Yeah, the bublewrap toughens, but I wasn't clear abotu that. I just felt that it needed one more line right there.
