The soft hug
of the familiar
comforts us.
Warm words
wrap their arms
around our bodies
And calmly whisper
what we've heard before.
Everybody understands
and we feel safe.
We are home.
Breaking free
of this embrace
renders the air cold.
Exposed,
we stand alone,
in virgin territory,
craving the same affection
from another
who awaits
out of sight.

I like the contrast between the two stanzas. The safe and warm vs. the scary and unexpected the ending is interesting as well. Hopeful I'd say. I'm not catching the significance of the name here. What am I missing?
The first stanza is supposed to represent the effects that cliches have on us. The second is us breaking free of them.
Ah ha. I gotcha. I like it.
