Seperation Binds

Your opinion
is not my opinion
and this makes you
enemy.

Your belief
is not my belief
and this makes you
evil.

Your words
are the wrong words
mine are law.

These differences
hold us together.
Lock us into
an escapable embrace.
Knotted tight.

i'm really sick of the division in this country, so this is another poem about that b.s.

I like the division in this country so deal with it.

All kidding aside, I picture the Becks and Limbaughs of the world spouting their drivel when I read this. I dig the pun of "an escapable" with "unescapable" because either works well in the context of this poem.

On the other side of the fence, I can also hear Keith Olbermann's slanted drivel in this poem as well. Palin too. Yuck! I just felt my spine tingle feverishly from thinking about these repugnant evangelists.
