I like the idea here and i think you should try to do more with it. The parallelism of the 2nd and 3rd stanzas works well and I think you should incorporate it into the first stanza as well. I think with the last stanza you could try swapping the last two lines which would hint at the inherent narcissism of human beings. Just a thought.
