Majority

Take to the streets.
Our brand of justice
has been defiled.
Difference is the new order.
Touting inclusion
and rights for all.

Signs high held.
Our rights are dwindling.
The right to bear all.
Freedom to oppress.
Humanity:
now Our responsibility?

Spit fire
at those less fortunate,
who will never
look like us.
Because we think they will
make it harder
for us
to take the everything
that we're given.

What true Patriots you are.

I'm surrounded by a circle of deep red elephants here. They can't comprehend compassion: near-sighted, with their own agenda in vision, looking beyond only when they want to spit venom at those different and less fortunate. It's toxic.

It's insane. I just don't understand when white people got so damn oppressed. Why are these people so angry, and why are they doing it under the guise of patriotism? The forefathers are spinning donuts in their graves listening to Sarah Palin tell old white people how they've been wronged.
O I changed the poem too.

The fact that Palin has such a powerful voice does my head in.

I do like the change to "Our." As a reader who obviously does not agree with the speaker, I can still acknowledge my inclusion in the America we all live in, and by nurturing this acknowledgement, I think the poem is more revealing.

Right? And she's just trying to latch on to any political ideology that will have her. I like it better now too.

Okay, I am happier with the newest title. It's more inclusive and therefore allows us all to see the flaws in our own political beliefs, while still nodding towards teabaggers and the "drill baby drill" set.

Haha!!! "Teabaggers." Is that what they're calling them these days? I like the title change too: definitely more inclusive.
